Books and the act of reading illuminate the fact that we are not solitary beings. When we immerse ourselves in a book, we delve into our inner selves and discover a reader within us. Engaging in internal dialogues with the author’s words and our own thoughts becomes a blend of self-discovery and camaraderie. As readers, it becomes difficult to feel entirely alone.
To cultivate a conscious and compass-like approach towards reading in our Students’ Enrichment Programme, Sloka has introduced the BAB (Buggy About Books) Program within our school curriculum. Our extensive library, boasting a collection of nearly 10,000 books, magazines, newspapers, periodicals, journals, and ebooks, serves as the nurturing ground for our budding BAB Program. Through this initiative, we aim to inspire our students and instill in them a profound and enduring love for reading and literature that will leave a lasting impact on their lives.
